There are several types of 3D imaging technologies and a few camera/lens systems out there.  Are any of you using, or even experimenting with. this type of imagery?  I ask because if there is enough interest/experience with this technology, I would like to look into having a show of such images along with pictures/descriptions of the equipment that was used to generate them at the 2012 Annual Meeting in Knoxville.  We might also invite folks who use other types of 3D imagery (e.g. holography) to display their work too.

The idea is to generate interest and to inspire thought as to how each of us might be able to use this developing technology in our work.

What do you think?  Is there interest in pursuing such an idea?
