Tips and Tricks

One of my favorite blogs (and perhaps yours too) is that of Alex Wild's Myrmecos.  In one of his latest posts, he, the amazing ant photographer, is trapped in photographer's hell when his macro lens breaks while he's on a remote field trip in Ecuador, with three weeks remaining in his trip.  A reader points him to a solution posted on OrionMystery of how (in the future) to modify a more ordinary 35-80 (or 28-80) mm lens into a larger than life macro.

While some subscribing to this group are bona fide insect photographers, many more are probably hoping to hone their skills or just admire the work of others.  I'm starting this thread to encourage you to provide links that people may have found particularly useful in taking photographs of insects and their relatives.
