International Branch 2013 Annual Meeting
ESA’s International Branch Meeting Joins the 4th International Symposium on Biological Control of Arthropods in Pucón, Chile in March
ESA’s International Branch will host their 2013 meeting on the afternoon of March 5 during the ISBCA Symposium in Pucón, Chile. Pucón is situated in the Araucanía Region on the shore of the Villarrica Lake, with views of the Villarrica volcano. Local activities include hiking, rafting, mountain biking, hot springs, horseback riding, bird watching, fishing and canopy exploration. Rare endemic flora and fauna are found in the area.
The ISBCA meeting brings researchers and practitioners together to discuss issues affecting biological control, particularly the use of parasitoids and predators as biological control agents. The symposia includes all approaches to biological control: conservation, augmentation, and importation of natural enemy species for the control of arthropod targets, as well as transversal issues.
